MOM TIP: KEEPING THE KIDS OCCUPIED WHILE YOU SHOP

Hi my lovelies, its just a quick post today - I'm feeling overloaded with things to do - and I'm afraid just like I mentioned here its all pretty boring stuff.  I need to finish our tax, baby proof the stairs and take some photos for my photography assignment.  And thats all in one day!  Sheesh!

So when I'm out and about I normally try and schedule in Matilda's lunch as we go (She's a much better eater when she's away from the high chair - does anyone else experience that?) But there are times when its not lunch time and I've got an hour with her sitting in a trolley or stroller.  Hello baby boredom.com.  So I saw this great idea from In The Corner and I knew I had to try it.  Say hello to the cheerio necklace.  This little baby took five minutes to make and gave me an hour of shopping in Target when we were having guests stay and I needed to get a million things. Thank you return on investment. LOL.  Not only was Matilda concentrating to get to those Cheerios, she was practising her fine motor skills along the way.  Loves it.

Why don't you keep this one in your mumma arsenal for when you need to keep the kids entertained for a longer period of time.

    1. I just used a bakers twine but any type of string would do I think! You could even try an elasticised string if you had that in the cupboard.

    1. I would recommend only doing the cheerio necklace if you are comfortable and as always strict supervision is a must. I would only use this when I was watching Matilda closely.
